A True Partnership
My coaching engagements are commitments to true collaboration.
Each engagement is unique; fine-tuned to the specific needs of the person, and the role they are in. My clients become my colleagues. I maintain availability in my schedule throughout the coaching engagement for the purposes of ad hoc coaching conversations beyond our scheduled sessions. I offer support in preparing for or debriefing on a meeting; to discuss any part of a coaching session or homework assignment; or any other reasonable request that helps my clients develop sustainable skills.
A Three-Month Coaching Engagement
An initial three-month coaching engagement begins with the identification of clear goals that will both challenge and support the ongoing development of emotional intelligence and compassionate leadership skills.
Over the course of our work, we will deliberately increase the alignment between actions and intentions as we settle into the pursuit of consistency.
A No-Cost Introductory Coaching Session
This 90-minute session will offer a realistic preview of what to expect from working together.
This allows us to make a fully-informed decision on whether my approach to coaching is right for the leader, determine if we collaborate well together, and if the leader can commit to this level of work. This step allows people to fully opt in and get excited about the work ahead.
Coaching Sessions
We meet every other week. Sessions will vary in length but will typically last between 90 and 120 minutes.
Each session is supplemented by notes from the conversation to be reviewed as part of the homework assignment to bolster the insights realized from our session.
Homework Assignments
Each coaching session includes a related homework assignment that must be completed and turned in prior to the next meeting.
Homework serves to move our conversations from theory to application, and is an integral part of our work. It is also vital in supporting an independent mindset and healthy habits to continue to practice and learn well past the duration of our engagement.
Self-Sustaining Practices
Toward the end of our engagement, we will agree to ongoing practices that will bolster your continued development through your daily actions.
We will adapt your commitment to your schedule in a realistic way to enable you to apply what you’ve learned, and continue to learn by doing.
A Second Three-Month Engagement
A second three-month coaching engagement is possible, but only after a significant period of practical application and independent reflection.
This period typically lasts between three and nine months.
